A little light looks through, her bedroom window.
She dances and I dream, she’s not so far as she seems,
Of brighter meadows, melting sunsets,
Her hair blowing in the breeze.
And she can’t see me watching.
I’m thinking, love… love…love… love…

Name that tune?
This Saturday night, November 13, 2010, is “big Colorado.” The Colorado Coalition for the Homless’s Home for the Holidays 25th Anniversary Gala features emcee Former Denver Bronco All Pro Rod Smith, Colorado’s own Big Head Todd and the Monsters and (yes, the rumors are true) Colorado’s premier event production company. Ahem.

Big Head Todd and the Monsters headlines Home for the Holidays 25th Anniversary Gala

Rock for a cause? This is work?

The event takes place on the Club Level of Invesco Field at Mile High. It costs money…sort of. Stay with me for a minute here.
There’s a reception and dinner, and of course the aforementioned concert. The whole shooting match is $195, $95 of which is tax deductible. Not much of an eater? Just a Big Head Todd fan? $100 for the show only and Uncle Sam still rebates the $95.
Five bucks to rock out and help Colorado’s homeless in rather spiffy confines? A hun for a refined evening and knowing you made a difference for someone? That’s what we in “the business” call a, “win/win.”

See you Saturday. Mention this blog post to a MAV guy and get a free high five.

Nothing Bittersweet about that.
